The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a Digital Content and Publications Officer to join our client’s Corporate Services team in Cairns for an initial 8 week Temp role with the possibility of ongoing .

Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, this role will coordinate the development of key publications while managing and enhancing the organisation’s digital presence across its website and social media platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the redevelopment and ongoing maintenance of the organisation’s website.
• Developing engaging content for digital platforms including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
• Coordinating major publications including the Annual Report, newsletters and organisational publications.
• Managing a centralised photo library and supporting digital media assets.
• Working with internal departments to gather content and ensure brand consistency.
• Supporting the development and implementation of digital and social media strategies.

This role will suit someone who enjoys storytelling, visual content creation and working across multiple communication channels.

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

• Strong experience using Adobe Creative Suite including having an expert level of knowledge in the use of Adobe InDesign.
• High-level skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher.
• Experience producing professional publications and digital communications.
• Experience maintaining websites and managing social media platforms.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Highly Desirable:

• Certificate IV in Digital Media, Social Media Marketing and Communication or similar.
• Experience working with First Nations communities.

You will also hold a current Open C Class Driver’s License and be comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
